I cooked this hearty vegan apple dessert for Bella last night. She only eats yogurt or fruit at night. This recipe is from my grandma and I always feel warm every time I cook it. Below is the recipe.
Poached Apples with Indian Jujube and dried figs
2 red gala apples (peeled and sliced)
2 pcs of Indian Jujube
3 to 4 dried figs (make two small cuts)
Water enough to cover the ingredients
Put all of the ingredients in a medium size pot. Add enough water to cover the ingredients and cover it with the lid. Boil on strong heat for 5 mins and reduce to lower heat for 15 more mins. That’s it!
